Data

I LOVE spreadsheets and data! In fact, it’s gotten to the point that my husband’s first remark when I begin doing anything is, “Are you going to put that in a spreadsheet?” This all  started with projects Chris Corallo, my former mentor,  and I did in Henrico County Public Schools:

  • A year long data calendar and directions for how to use district reports to analyze data. (Our theme was a little hokie but you have to remember this was over 15 years ago when data use was just beginning to gain importance.DataQuest
  • A data process for our teachers to use reports when online testing programs first emerged. The process doesn’t change even when the product does.

  • A data training course for VDOE to help trainer their Instructional Technology Resource Teachers on the use of their data system, EIMS, so ITRTs could help teachers become more familiar with the data reports the state was providing.

That all morphs into my work with Advanced Learning Partnerships. I love working with district teachers, administrators, and office professionals  to help them learn new strategies to analyze their data so they can best help their students. I
